Meet Our Vietnam 2022 Program Team!

Tan May Phin is part of the Red Dao ethnic minority and comes from a village near Sa Pa, in the Lao Cai Province. She is a graduate of our first ASSET and leadership training program in Vietnam which took place in 2018. Since then, she was a part of the Train the Trainer Program in 2019 and has been a Program Assistant during all the Vietnam ASSET programs that have taken place since then. She has worked as a recruiter and collaborated on needs assessments for new participants. She is also an interpreter of H’Mong, Red Dao Language, Vietnamese and English. Now, as part of the Vietnam 2022 program team, she is guiding our new ASSET graduates through the pre-program recruiting and planning.

Lồ Thị Tuyết Nhungis a part of the Tay ethnic group from Xa Pho. She graduated from the ASSET program in 2020 in Hanoi, Vietnam, and showed a lot of initiative and enthusiasm in the training. As part of the 2022 team, she is helping with recruitment this year. The women she is recruiting are farmers and artisans who make handicrafts and the traditional fabric of the Tay people.

Lo Thi Sy graduated the 2021 ASSET program held in Sa Pa, Vietnam. She works as a tour guide and speaks english well. As part of the 2022 team she will be recruiting local women from her village — some run small inns and a variety of other small businesses.
